LUSAKA, July 31 (Reuters) – Zambia’s consumer inflation quickened slightly in July to 8.0 percent year-on-year, from 7.9 percent in June, the Central Statistics Office said on Thursday.
On a month-on-month basis CPI accelerated to 0.8 percent from 0.4 percent in June. The rise was mainly because of higher prices in non-food items, the office said. (Reporting by Chris Mfula; Editing by Xola Potelwa)
