Worn Mwansabombwe Local court worries magistrate
Mwansabombwe, June12, 2014, ZANIS —- Mwansabombwe local court presiding magistrate Charles Kombe has expressed concern at the state of the local court in the district.
Mr. Kombe says the local court in District needs a complete over hull as it is in a deplorable state.
He says the court, which was built in 1966 , carters for the entire district and has never seen any proper renovations since inception adding that a complete over hull will give room to create enough space.
Speaking to ZANIS in an interview, in the District today, the presiding local court magistrate said he is not happy with the condition at the court saying something needs to be done.
He added that the furniture in his office was purchased when the court was built and has never been replaced adding that to cover up for the damaged furniture at the court he has resorted to use an old clothe to make the furniture better.
He explained that the plunks to the roof at the court are worn out and asbestos on the roof needs maintenance while expressing fears that the court may course a disaster.
He explained that in 2012, he wrote to the council for assistance through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) but the council sent health inspectors to check the court and later recommended for the closure of the court.
He has since appealed to government to quickly look into the matter at the court saying the court is an important institution to society.
