Education Minister JOHN PHIRI has warned managements in public universities and colleges against perpetrating political activities that destabilise normal operation. Dr PHIRI says it is also wrong for political leaders to take advantage of students to gain political mileage. He says the ministry will take punitive measures against any management in public universities and colleges which is found wanting. Dr PHIRI has said this in a statement availed to ZNBC news today. Meanwhile, Dr PHIRI has reiterated that government is committed to addressing the numerous challenges at the University of Zambia, Copperbelt University, Evelyn Hone colleges and other higher learning institutions.
