Government Committed to providing quality health delivery
Chavuma, April 7TH, 2014/ZANIS………Government says it is committed to provide proper healthcare system for all Zambians.
Chavuma District Commissioner, Lawrence Kayumba, says the PF government will ensure all citizens have access to quality healthcare despite their respective political affiliation.
He said government’s commitment towards delivering quality healthcare is evident by improving the health sector through projects such as the construction of the Chavuma district hospital which is now in its second phase of construction.
The District Commissioner said this In Chavuma District today when he handed over an ambulance to the hospital authority during a meeting held in Chkanji area.
Mr. Kayumba who also explained various developmental programmes and projects to the community that are taking place in Chavuma said
He urged the people of Chavuma to look after the ambulance as it is meant to service them.
And receiving the ambulance on behalf of the Chavuma Community, District Medical Officer, Kizito Sampa said government has demonstrated its love and care for the people of Chavuma by ensuring that the health sector continues to thrive to people’s expectation.
Dr. Sampa urged members of the community to report any person abusing the ambulance or that of the District Commissioner emphasizing that it should be used for the intended purpose.
He clarified that no one should pay for using the ambulance.
