Napsa Stars have decided not to sign Nigerian player Jay John Ezikpe.
The Nigerian has been on trial at Napsa since January when the Lusaka club kicked off its 2014 Faz Super League pre-season training.
“We did not sign the Nigerian player Jay John Ezikpe,” Napsa coach Hector Chilombo said.
“He did not impress us so we released him and at the moment we do not intend to sign on any players.”
Meanwhile, Napsa are sweating on the fitness of striker Harry Milanzi and defender Evans Chisulo ahead of next month’s Faz Super League kick-off.
“We have three players that are injured and are doing light training,” Chilombo said.
“Harry Milanzi has a swollen finger, Evans Chisulo picked up a knee injury during training and Angel Kalunga is also struggling with a knee injury.
“The injuries are not threatening, they are already on light training and by the time the league gets under way, they will be fine.”
Napsa kick off their 2014 league season on March 15 with a Week One away date against Konkola Blades at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.
The Lusaka club enter their third successive season in the Faz Super Division following their 2012 promotion when they ended a 12-year absence from top flight football.
