Govt saddened over the loss of lives in Mazabuka
Government has received with shock and horror the death of twenty people in a road traffic accident involving a Marcopolo bus and a South African Front liner Truck and trailer in Mazabuka district, Southern Province in the early hours of yesterday.
Chief Government Spokesperson, Mwansa Kapeya, has told QFM News in a statement that the accident is a tragedy of immense proportion.
Mr. Kapeya has conveyed his deep-felt condolences to the bereaved families on the tragic and untimely loss of lives on behalf of the Government and people of Zambia.
He says as a nation, there is need to pray to God for strength and comfort as the country goes through this sad and painful loss.
He has also wished the twenty three people who were injured in the same accident, a quick and full recovery.
He adds that government is deeply concerned about the frequent road fatalities on the Zambian roads and will not rest in ensuring that tragedies of this nature are minimized.

Just stop buses from moving at night, unless u r enjoying what is happening, most of fatal accidents happen at night, most bus drivers dont lower their lights forgeting that the other motorist from the opposite will have poor sight and stray in his lane hence the head ons. Its good that most of these idiots die in these accidents.
