Lightning kills Solwezi man
Solwezi, January 31, ZANIS—A 69 year old man of Kyalifungwa village in Chief Kapijimpanga’s area in Solwezi district has died after being struck by lightning.
North western province Deputy Commissioner of Police, Michael Nkaka confirmed the incident to ZANIS in Solwezi today and identified the deceased as Lupiya Katatala.
Mr Nkaka said the deceased was struck yesterday around 16:00 in his house.
He said the body of the deceased has since been buried because it was badly burnt.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police said police does not suspect any foul play.
