—–Lusaka province Permanent Secretary, Wamunyima Muwana has called for efficient and productive workforce in the civil service if the country is develop.
Mr Muwana said civil servants are obliged to observe the rules and regulations stipulated in the terms and conditions of the civil service and the disciplinary code as guidelines to their operations.
The Permanent Secretary said this when he addressed heads of government departments at Kafue district administration offices.
Mr Muwana who warned that government will not condone laziness in the civil service has since cautioned civil servants to avoid reporting for work late.
He reminded the public service workers in the province that reporting for work after 08.00 hours is stealing government’s time and is therefore punishable.
The Permanent Secretary further directed Lusaka District Commissioner, Grace Ngulube to ensure that all government employees in the district access copies of the terms and conditions of the civil service and the disciplinary code.
