The Zambia National Women’s Lobby (ZNWL) has condemned the act by some Patriotic Front women in Lusaka who stripped half naked as a form of protest against party Secretary General Wynter Kabimba.
ZNWL National Chairperson Beauty Phiri has told Q fm that it is disappointing that in this day and era, women can go to the extent of disgracing themselves just to get what they want.
Ms. Phiri says dialogue is the best way to resolve any outstanding differences.
She adds that if women continue behaving in such ways, they should not expect society to respect them as mothers of the nation.
She states that it is not expected of women of today’s standard to behave in such a primitive and disgusting manner.
Ms. Phiri says if women are not able to dialogue, they should find better ways to channel their grievances, stating that stripping naked may not help in anyway.
She has further advised women to respect themselves and their bodies so that they can earn the respect of society.
