THREE people have been rescued from freezing waters after a tourist bus with 31 people on board sank in a Liverpool dock.
Seventeen people were taken to hospital following the accident in the city’s Salthouse Dock this afternoon.
Chief Fire Officer Dan Stephens said: “Three people have been rescued by firefighters from the water. We have had assistance from a number of agencies on scene.
“We are working with police, ambulance and coastguard to account for everyone on board.”
It is understood that some of the passengers had to be treated for shock but that no other major injuries have been reported.
