Confirming the development to ZANIS in Mansa today, Luapula province police commissioner Philemon Mutale said the thieves stole about 150,000 kwacha rebased worth of MTN talk time while the remaining 23,000 kwacha rebased talk time was for Airtel.
Mr Mutale said that no arrests have been made but that the matter is under investigation.
Meanwhile, Mr Mutale has revealed that police in the province have recorded five cases of crimes committed in a similar manner.
Mr Mutale said of the five cases, two were recorded in Samfya, another two in Mansa, and the fifth in Nchelenge which involved a break-in at Bayport, a micro finance institution.

I hope the vendor has serial numbers to provide to the carriers so that they can disable or cancel those PIN numbers otherwise the culprit will talk him or herself to death!!
