MMD president Nevers Mumba says President Michael Sata will not attain his dream of turning Zambia into a one party state.
Speaking in an interview with Qfm news, Dr. Mumba says he will not be deterred from speaking against the mismanagement of the country by the current government.
He says attempts to silence the opposition will not yield any positive results adding that Zambians need the opposition to provide checks and balances on government’s actions.
The MMD leader says the President has to acknowledge the size of the office he holds and always strive to provide leadership that is devoid of political inclinations.
He says the office of the President demands fairness in the manner Zambians are treated adding that a heads of state must be a leader of all people regardless of their political affiliation.
Dr. Mumba has since reiterated that the opposition is not an enemy to the ruling party but a partner in development.
