Zambia is a good investment country – Zimmer
Lusaka, March 28th, 2013, ZANIS—General Cable Senior Vice President Karl Zimmer says Zambia is the best investment destination in the sub Saharan Africa in terms of raw materials.
Senior Cable is the 75 percent shareholding company in the Metal Fabricators of Zambia PLC (ZAMEFA).
Mr. Zimmer said the presence of several mines on the Copperbelt makes investors cheerful to invest in raw material investment as compared to other Sub Saharan countries.
Mr. also said ZAMEFCA has risen to the occasion of becoming the best raw material fabrication industry both local and international.
ZANIS reports that the General Cable Senior Vice President said this at the end of year ZAMEFA shareholders meeting held in Lusaka today.
At the same function, ZAMEFA shareholders appointed Ms. Roseta Mwape as the new Director of the ZAMEFA Board of Directors.
And Mrs. Mwape has promised to ensure that ZAMEFCA continues to be the leading role in the production of raw and finished material in the country.
Meanwhile, ZAMEFA Chief Commercial Officer Joan Du Plessig has disclosed that ZAMEFA has with immediate effect rebranded its business logo for 2013 to enable the company reach out to its customers professionally.
Mr. Plesige also said the rebranding is meant to clearly mark the true colors of its dual shareholders which include ZAMECA and General Cable with green and orange colors respectively.
