Nchelenge Education sector receives funds for development
Nchelenge, February 25, ZANIS —– Government has set aside about K2 million rebased for various infrastructure development projects for the Education sector in Nchelenge district of Luapula Province.
The money is to be used to construct staff houses, VIP toilets and new schools in the district.
Confirming the development to ZANIS in Nchelenge, District Education Board Secretary (DEBS), Bennie Mwansa said his office has already received a total of K1.9 million rebased for the exercise.
He said the money is to be used to construct four new One by Three Class Room Block Schools which will each include a double VIP toilet.
Mr Mwansa said the four new schools will also each have a staff house, a single VIP toilet, and a washing facility.
The DEBS said the funds will also be used to construct double VIP toilets for pupils in eight already existing schools.
He named the schools that will benefit from the construction of the double VIP toilets as Kasamba, Mofwe, Mulonda, Munsa, Mweru, Mutono, Kabuta and Chiba.
