TP Mazembe midfielder Rainford Kalaba has quashed talk of a deal with Orlando Pirates, but admitted several PSL sides had enquired after his services.
Back in Lubumbashi for pre-season training, the Zambia international has insisted that while the Buccaneers had contacted him he was always set to stay with the Ravens.
The 26-year-old has previously been linked with a move to the Sea Robbers, but he claims it has all just been rumours generated by the media.
“It is true that South Africans have contacted me and we had some exchanges,” Kalaba told Mazembe’s official website.
“But there was never any question of signing with Orlando Pirates.”
Kalbaa was recently in South Africa with Chipolopolo as they failed to defend their Africa Cup of Nations title after being dumped out at the group stages.
