President Edgar Lungu has disclosed that Vice President Inonge Wina will be his presidential running in the August 11th general elections.
President Lungu made this announced during the official launch of the PF Campaign ahead of the general elections at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
President Lungu says Ms Wina has shown that she is equal to the task and has shown high level of integrity in the discharge of her duties.
He has also assured the nation that the referendum on the Bill of Rights will take place alongside the August 11th general elections.
President Lungu says the ruling PF will say to the referendum question as it wants an expanded Bill of Rights.
And President Lungu notes that under the 2016 – 2021 manifesto the PF has launched today, the PF government intends to ensure that health institutions are well staffed and equipped.
He says the PF government also intends to finish all ongoing road infrastructure across the Country.
President Lungu says the PF government further wants to make load shedding a thing of the past.
Meanwhile President Lungu has warned all PF candidates in the forthcoming general elections against abusing public resources.
He has particularly called on candidates that are still holding on to Ministerial offices to take this warning seriously.
Speaking at the same launch, former Republican Vice President Enock Kavindele says he has decided to support President Lungu because of the unprecedented development that he has embarked on.
And Christian Democratic Party (CDP) President Dr. Daniel Pule, who represented the fifteen political parties that have endorsed President Lungu, says the President has demonstrated that he is a listening president and eager to transform the nation socially, spiritually and economically.
