Acting President Inonge Wina has described late Road Development Agency -RDA- Chairman Willie Nsanda as a courageous and brave man who stood for what believed in.
Speaking after visiting the funeral house last night in Lusaka, Ms. Wina says Mr. Nsanda understood politics and spoke his mind on what he believed in.
She says Mr. Nsanda played a significant role in the Patriotic Front’s election victory in 2011.
Ms. Wina adds that Mr. NsandaA also played a crucial role in overseeing government developmental projects as RDA Chairman.
She says the party will miss his contributions and has since appealed for peace and unity in the PF during the time of grief.
Ms. Wina has further appealed to all party members to travel to Kitwe to receive Mr. Nsanda’s body on Sunday, as it arrives from South Africa.
And Home Affairs Minister Davies Mwila who accompanied the Acting President said Mr. Nsanda was a good organizer hence being chosen as campaign manager for both President Lungu in 2015 and late President Michael Sata in 2011.
He says his qualities of a strong man were seen in the well organized campaigns for the PF.
And Eastern Province Minister Malozo Sichone says late Mr. Nsanda played a crucial role in uniting the party when it was almost disintegrating prior to the 2015 President elections.
And Lands Deputy Minister Davies Mwango who also visited the funeral house says the death of Mr. Nsanda is a serious loss to the part because he was hospitable to most people.
Meanwhile Family representative Justine Kauseni has thanked government for according Mr. Nsanda a befitting funeral.
