–Minister of Youth and Sports Vincent Mwale has called on youths to create opportunities that will address the high levels of unemployment among the young population of the country.
Mr. Mwale challenged youths to come up with initiatives that will help them start their own businesses and in the process employ their fellow young people.
He said government is determined to mainstream young people in the socio-economic development of the nation by developing and implementing policies that will create a conducive environment for youth entrepreneurship.
Mr. Mwale said this today at the official opening of the 2015 young entrepreneurs and innovation exhibition at the Mulungushi International Conference Center in Lusaka today.
And Young Entrepreneurs and Innovation Exhibition, Organizing Committee Chairperson, Mulemwa Moongwa said the exhibition is part of the activities lined up for the youth week whose theme is “Building a stable and sustainable future”.
Ms. Moongwa said the event will give the public and government an opportunity to see what youths are doing to improve their welfare.
