Thieves steal from Mbala government offices

Kasama, February 27, 2015, ZANIS…..Unknown people have stolen property worth over K8,000 from a government office block in Mbala district.

 

Mbala District Commissioner Best Kabulemba has confirmed the development to ZANIS in Kasama today.

 

Mr Kabulembe said the offices broken into accommodate officers from the department of Community Development and Social Welfare.

 

He narrated that the incident happened in the early hours of today adding that the suspected thieves entered through the ceiling board of one of the rooms.

 

Among the items that have been stolen include a set of computers, a printer, blankets and an assortment of donated items all valued at over K8 000.00

 

The DC said the donated items were from well-wishers in Mbala meant for donation to 19 families whose houses were burn by unknown people in Chozi area last year.

 

Mr Kabulembe said the matter has since been reported to Police in Mbala and has called on members of the public to be on alert and help with information that might lead to the arrest of the culprits.
