NDOLA High Court judge Anessi Bobo has entered a consent order to settle out of court the matter in which former Acting President Guy Scott sued Patriotic Front (PF) secretary-general Davies Chama over his suspension as party vice-president.
This is a case in which Dr Scott sued Mr Chama over his suspension as party vice-president.
Dr Scott’s lawyers had filed an injunction in the Ndola High Court to restrain the PF from suspending or expelling him.
Ms Justice Bobo granted the consent order last Wednesday after lawyers representing both parties applied to court that the matter be settled outside court.
“The parties applying for an inter parte hearing are unable to proceed with the application but they have rather applied for an ex-curia settlement. “Upon consent summons filed in and by consent of the parties, it is ordered that this action be and is hereby wholly discontinued forthwith and each party is to bear its own costs,” Ms Justice Bobo said.
