—Lusaka Province Minister, Freedom Sikazwe, says the newly built Kabanana Secondary School in Mandevu constituency needs enough space for learning environment.
MrSikazwe, who toured the school yesterday, said the institution was located in the middle of residential homes and there was need to expand it through dialogue with the residents.
He said that people around the school premises should be relocated so that they leave space for the school football field and a sewer pond.
Mr Sikazwe added that government will need to compensate the residents so that they are relocated elsewhere to pave way for enough space for the school.
He ordered the constructors to secure the school with a wall fence to avoid being occupied by the residents.
Senior Buildings Officer in the Ministry of Education, Paschal Chiluba, said most of the works had been completed with only external works were remaining.
Mr Chiluba said land was limited to put up a sewer pond and a football field for the school.
He further asked government to engage the community in sorting out the land issues because most of them were coming to build around the institution.
