Govt’ projects in Luapula province hailed
Samfya, January 16th, ZANIS—Government says the robust developmental projects being ly undertaken Luapula province has helped improve live hood in the area.
Luapula Province Minister Brigadier General Benson Kapaya says the construction of the Chipili, Milenge, Chienge and other major roads among others have helped to create employment opportunities for the locals in the province.
He said the construction of roads has also helped famers in the province to have easy access to various markets for their farm produce.
Big. Gen. Kapaya told ZANIS in an interview in Samfya yesterday that the province has recorded an unprecedented investment gains in the last three years than ever before.
And Mr. Kapaya said the revitalisation of the Luena farm block in Kawambwa with focus on animal husbandry is a morale booster to livestock farmers in the province.
Brig. Gen Kapaya also said the revitalisation of the Kawambwa Tea Estate and the recent upgrading of the Mansa Airport has further added economic value to the province.
