North PF happy with faction reconciliation
Kasama, Dec 20/14-ZANIS——The Patriotic Front (PF) in Northern Province has welcomed the reconciliation of the two factions in the ruling party.
This came to light when PF members in Kasama today took to the streets to celebrate the coming together of Acting President, Guy Scott and PF president, Edgar Lungu, for the sake of unity in the ruling party.
The PF officials and cadres, who drove in the central business district of Kasama town to celebrate the reconciliation of top leaders, said the move will help the party win the forthcoming presidential election.
And addressing the jubilant party members, PF Provincial vice chairperson, Peter Mwansa, said the reconciliation is a sign of good things to come in the ruling party.
Mr Mwansa said the PF is now back to work and will ensure that it wins the 2015 presidential election.
He said the party had only a few weeks in which to campaign and retain the Republican Presidency, adding that the opposition had no grip on the Zambian voters.
Mr Mwansa further appealed to Zambians to vote for PF president, Edgar Lungu, in the January 20 Presidential election.
And PF youths in Kasama have praised their area Member of Parliament, Geoffrey Mwamba, for helping in the reconciliation process of the factions in the ruling party.
Speaking on behalf of other youths, Frank Mbewe said the PF youths were delighted because now they have a clear direction of which leader to campaign for ahead of the next month’s Presidential election.
Mbewe further advised youths to turn out in large numbers and cast their votes in the Presidential election for the good of the nation.
