Even at such a tender age children in grade two and three from Pinewood school came together and celebrated the Easter festival in a very memorable event when they put a spectacular show describing the trails Jesus went through before he was finally crucified on the cross.
The play depicted the love Jesus had for children while he lived here earth, the kind of humble personality Jesus had despite his persecution that lead to his death and his resurrection on the third day of the Pentecost.
Christians celebrate Easter Sunday as the day of the resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ. It is typically the well-attended Sunday service of the year for Christian churches.
Christians believe, according to Scripture, that Jesus came back to life, or was raised from the dead, three days after his death on the cross. As part of the Easter season, the death of Jesus Christ bycrucifixion is commemorated on Good Friday, always the Friday just before Easter. Through his death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.
