A Pensioner under the Local Authority Superannuation Fund (LASF) in Kabwe has called on the fund to pay them their money for 2013 and 2014.

Leading a group of pensioners today, Mirriam Mulyata 68, told ZANIS that the pensioners were suffering as a result of the LASF’s failure to meet its obligation of paying pensioners their yearly pension dues.

She said the pensioners last received their money in January 2012 and
expected to be given again in January 2013 and in 2014 but have waited
in vain.

Ms Mulyata said the pensioners wondered what LASF was up to when the fund is supposed to remit the money without being reminded.

She further explained that some pensioners depended on their pension for survival and that without it life becomes miserable.

Ms Mulyata said the pensioners were now planning to seek authority to involve President Michael Sata to help them push for their money.

But LASF customer Care Officer, Mcloyed Ndawa, said some pensioners, country wide including those in Kabwe, have not been paid their pension money.

He explained that this was because LASF was facing financial challenges hence the failure to pay the pensioners their dues.

Mr Ndawa however, said government was doing everything possible to
find money for the pensioners adding that it was most likely the money
could be available before the end of the year.

He appealed to pensioners to remain calm as government is looking for
money to pay them.

  1. Inspite of my increasing aggravation just about every time
I run out of life and the emotion of falling more and further more at the rear
of, I have turn out to be ever more knowledgeable of the
advantages of participating in this sport. These had been commonly wrapped close to Hershey Bars,
and looked lovely. Have you at any time acquired any extras in the activity to get past levels.
