Milenge police pick up dead body

–Police in Milenge district of Luapula province have a picked a body of a 29-year-old mental patient who went missing about a month ago.

Luapula Province Police Commissioner, Malcom Mulenga, confirmed the development and death of Abel Kashiba of Lunga village in chief Sonkotwe’s area.

Mulenga said the body of Kashiba was found in a decomposed state in the bush of Katena area around 10:00 hrs yesterday and has since been buried.

Police in the area have since launched investigations into the matter to ascertain the death of Kashiba as they suspect that the deceased was murdered.

Father of the deceased, Abel Moses Chapa, 54, of the same abode, suspects that his son was murdered and has called on the police to thoroughly investigate the matter.
