A Ndola based herbalist has called on government to set up more herbal medicine research institutions across the country.
Howard Maila, who is the director of Mailacin Wonder Herbs, said strengthening research on herbal medicine will help herbalists to quicken the processing of herbs from its crude to commercial state.
Mr. Maila said the move will also help build capacity of local herbalists in their quest to finding a long lasting cure to various diseases affecting the people.
He told ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka today
And Mr. Maila has meanwhile called on citizens to strive to engage in lifestyles that promote good health and longevity of life.
He said this will also enable government to channel resources meant for unplanned diseases such as heart attacks and diabetes to other social amenities.
