Western Province Minister, Richwell Siamunene, has warned District Commissioners in the province against engaging themselves in corrupt practices.
Mr Siamunene warned that he will not tolerate any one found entangled in the misappropriation of government resources and urged all government officers to observe government guidelines in applying public funds.
In a speech read on his behalf by Provincial Permanent Secretary, Augustine Seyuba, during a District Commissioners’ meeting held at the Minister’s Conference Hall today, Mr Siamunene reiterated that government is committed to ensuring that people’s lives are improved in Western Province.
He pointed out that during his tenure of office, he will endeavour to work closely with an efficient and effective civil service to develop Western province.
The Provincial Minister has since urged District Commissioners in the province to work closely with the provincial administration for easy access to information.
