National Arts Council (NAC) Chairperson Mulenga Kapwepwe says she is not bothered by the campaign launched by a group of artists to have her removed from her position.
Ms. Kapwepwe has told QFM-News in an interview that Zambia is a democratic country where people are free to express their opinions.
She says the petition by the artists is therefore a mere opinion.
Ms Kapwepwe states that the artists are entitled to their opinion and that she will accept whatever decision the appointing authority.
A group of artistes from various disciplines led by singer Saboi Imboela have launched a petition to remove Ms Kapwepwe as National Arts Council chairperson on grounds that she has overstayed at the helm of NAC.
