Six Zambians arrested in Tanzania
Chinsali, February 5, 2014, ZANIS…Police in Tanzanian have arrested six Zambians at the border town of Tunduma for being in possession of cannabis and equipment for printing counterfeit notes.
The six Zambians where nabbed after Tunduma police conducted an
operation yesterday around 07: 30 hours in the morning.
Muchinga Deputy Police Commissioner Bonny Kapeso confirmed the
development to the Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) in
Chinsali district today.
Mr. Kapeso said the six arrested Zambians are between the ages of 16 and 44 years.
He identified the five Zambians who were nabbed for being found in
possession of cannabis as Francis Bwalya, Moses Nyirenda, Allan
Mulenga , Kelly Bulaya and the fifth one only named as Sibeso.
Mr. Kapeso said Bright Muluya was arrested for being in possession of
equipment for printing counterfeit notes .
The Deputy Police Commissioner said that all the six suspects are being
held in Tanzania.
Mr. Kapeso has since warned that Police will take stern action against perpetrators of
such vices in the Muchinga province.
