Mr Kambwili, who is also Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development Minister, said he would terminate the contract awarded to the contractor in February if the works were not completed in three months.
Mr Kambwili said this in Luanshya yesterday when he visited the site for the development of a youth skills training centre in his constituency, Roan.
The minister said he was not happy with the attitude, especially that the contract money for the project was given in February.
Mr Kambwili said such were the people tarnishing the Government’s image as if they are not working.
He also warned the contractors not to hire people from outside Luanshya but instead use the local people.
“Jobs are being brought to the community so that local people can be involved,” he said.
And site foreman, Morgan Chisanga said the delay was because of the local people who were reluctant to move from the area as was directed by the Government last year.
Meanwhile, Mr Kambwili visited the Roan General Hospital and warned hospital management that he did not want to be associated with temporal works.
He said this after he had visited one of the wards being renovated by the hospital management.
