Ms Zimba says generator number three which was shut down two weeks ago to facilitate maintenance works is back on.
And Ms Zimba says ZESCO is happy with the reduction in cases of vandalism on its installations stating this shows that people are responding well to sensitization programs.
She has told QFM in an interview that the utility company has been enlightening the local communities in the countryside so that they could feel duty bound to safe-guard electricity infrastructure because any vandalism done to Zesco installations has a negative implication on the people.
Ms Zimba notes that the company has suffered at the hands of vandals for a long time which makes it difficult to expand the distribution network because the resources are channeled back to repairing the existing vandalized equipment.
