Govt. reiterates its commitment to improve infrastructure countrywide
Solwezi, July 4th, 20123, ZANIS — Government says it is committed to improving infrastructure in all sectors of the economy across the country.
Home Affairs Deputy Minister Nickson Chilangwa says it is for this reason that the State has taken a bold decision of removing both fuel and maize subsidies.
Mr. Chilangwa said the move would enable government to raise funds that could be channeled towards improving infrastructure across the country.
ZANIS reports the Deputy minister to have said this in an interview in Solwezi District over the weekend.
Mr. Chilangwa said people in rural areas need to see change in terms of social services delivery in health and education among others.
He added that it was unacceptable to see Kipushi which is among the busiest border post in the country still lacks proper office and housing infrastructure for its staff.
The Deputy minister pledged to ensure that government through his ministry will do everything
possible to improve the situation.
