Chilanga district has recorded four new Cholera cases in Zone 4A of Mount Makulu catchment area.
Speaking when she visited the affected residents, Chilanga District Commissioner Edith Muwana said it is sad that people have continued to suffer from Cholera despite the endless sensitization being carried out by the Ministry of Health.
ZANIS reports that Mrs. Muwana who also distributed 1,700 bottles of Chlorine to 900 households in the same area, strongly advised the residents not to draw water from Mt. Makulu stream which has been a source of water for most residents.
And Neighbourhood Health Committee Advisory Chairperson for Mount Makulu catchment area Msanikhuze Banda has thanked government for putting measures to stop the spread of Cholera in the area.
He said most people are using pumps to get water from the stream for domestic use.
