Opposition upnd Vice President Geoffrey Mwamba has deployed members of his youth wing to keep vigil at the medical institution where NDC consultant Chishimba Kambwili is receiving treatment.
And Mr Mwamba has urged President Edgar Lungu to stop prosecuting Dr. kambwili.
Mr. Mwamba says Mr Lungu should have compassion and should not treat fellow human beings brutally.
Mr. Mwamba says the continued persecution of Dr. Kambwili on framed up charges is unfortunate.
The opposition upnd leader said this in lusaka today.
This was after he visited Dr. Kambwili who is receiving treatment at a private medical institution.
Meanwhile, Dr. Kambwili’s wife, Carol says state agents are planning to transfer the NDC consultant to UTH against the will of the family.
Mrs. Kambwili says the Government agents have gone to the extent of threatening medical staff at the private medical facility were Dr. Kambwili is receiving treatment.
She said the state agents want to forcefully transfer the NDC strongman to UTH.
Mrs. Kambwili said her husband has the right to receive medical attention at any facility of his choice.
She added that Dr. Kambwili should not be transferred from CFB hospital because that is where he receives medical attention locally.
Mrs. Kambwili has further disclosed that the NDC consultant is responding well to treatment.
