OVER 150 congregants at St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Church Regiment Parish yesterday locked the gate of the main entrance and door of the church in protest against the transfer of their parish priest.
The angry worshippers are against the transfer of Fr Phillip Phiri and his assistant Emmanuel Lungu who started serving at the church barely six months ago.
The placard-carrying parishioners, mainly women and youths, marched to the church premises around 05:00 hours and locked the main gate and door to the church.
