After making headlines following the discovery of millions of kwacha and thousands of dollars at her house two months ago, journalist Faith Musonda is back in the hands of the law.
Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale confirmed that Musonda was today 15 December 2021 detained in police custody.
Mwale also disclosed that Musonda has however not been charged, adding that “she is in safe custody”.
Sources however indicated that Musonda is facing allegations of having property suspected to be proceeds of crime.
Law enforcement agents in October stormed Musonda’s home in New Kasama where they found K65 million and US$57,000 cash.
The journalist forfeited the money to the state in a successful bid to free herself from criminal prosecution.
