Government has warned oil manufacturing companies and suppliers to desist from fuel hoarding or risk facing the consequences as such actions are a form of economic sabotage, which is a serious offence.
Energy minister Peter Kapala dispelled rumours that there is an imminent fuel shortage and warned those that could be involved in hoarding the product to desist from their actions.
Kapala assured the public that there was no need to panic as the government had secured enough fuel to meet demand.
