Health minister Sylvia Masebo has challenged the Health Professions and the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia to pay particular attention to the quality of health training offered by both public and private institutions in the country.
In a speech read on her behalf by Sports Minister Elvis Nkandu during a graduation ceremony at the University College of Health Sciences in Lusaka on 9 November 2021, Masebo said there was need to ensure that quality is not compromised at any level.
Government recently announced that it will recruit and equitably deploy 11,200 health personnel in 2022.
