A LUSAKA pastor of Interdenominational Jesus Ministry has pleaded not guilty to theft by servant involving K260,000. Taking plea before magistrate Felix Kaoma, Pastor John Simfukwe, who has been in custody since September 14, denied the charge. He is alleged to have swindled his congregant who is a widow.
It is alleged that Simfukwe, between August 16, 2016 and August 17, 2018, stole K260,000 cash which was entrusted to him by Mildred Chikato to buy a house on her behalf.
Magistrate Kaoma granted the accused bail of K50,000 bail in his own recognizance with two working sureties in the like sum.
