High Court Judge Edward Musoma has set 27th march 2018, as date for ruling in a petition where UPND losing Munali Parliamentary candidate in the 2016 elections, Doreen Mwamba is challenging the election of Professor Nkandu Luo, the current area MP.
On 26th February, 2018, the Constitutional Court refereed back to the high court, the same case for the lower court to re-examine the video evidence submitted by Mwamba.
When the matter came up for viewing of the video this morning, Judge Musoma asked the court who has brought the video before it.
High Court Senior Assistant Registrar Neto Zulu responded in affirmative saying the video in question was brought to his office for safe keeping by a constitutional court master.
The Judge then asked Mr. Zulu the name of the constitutional court master but Mr. Zulu responded that he did not know the name of the master as he was a new person in the judiciary.
Mr. Zulu attributed the non-availability of the video yesterday to communication breakdown saying he was not informed that the high court needed the video for viewing.
The Judge thereafter ordered that the video be viewed by the court and both parties were present.
