Barely 72 hours after his arrest, Police in Lusaka have summoned National Democratic Congress political consultant Dr Chishimba Kambwili again.
Both police sources and Dr. Kambwili’s lawyer Christopher Mundia have confirmed that the NDC presidential candidate in 2021 has been summoned for questioning at Woodlands Police station at 14:00 hours tomorrow.
Officers close to the investigation have revealed that Dr. Kambwili will face fresh but similar fraud charges like the ones he was summoned for at Lusaka Central Police.
The source said State House was not pleased that Dr. Kambwili was given bond when he appeared at Lusaka Central Police.
“There is too much pressure coming from above. All they want is Kambwili locked up. We might arrest him even before he appears before the Lusaka Magistrate Court,” the source close to the investigation said.
Dr. Kambwili is expected to appear before the Lusaka Magistrates Court tomorrow Friday the 26th January, 2018.
Dr. kambwili is facing three charges of fraud, namely forgery, altering of false documents and giving false information to a public officer.
