MATEBETO MARKET IN THORNPARK RE-OPENS

Yesterday, In the Company of the Lusaka City Council’s Town Clerk, Mr Alex Mwansa and the Director of Housing and Social Services, Mr Boyd Kaoma, We re-opened the famous Thornpark’s Matebeto Market in our Community which was closed a fortnight ago due to poor sanitation.

There was jubilation from the marketers as they chanted “pa bwato pa bwato” slogan and thanked the Patriotic Front Government through my office as Area Councillor for making sure that the Market was opened at the time schools were about to re-open, through the Republican President, Edgar Chagwa Lungu and the Area Member of Parliament, Margaret Mwanakatwe.
