The Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon Harry Kalaba wishes to inform the nation that the President of the Republic of Zambia His Excellency Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu will travel to Kasane, Botswana and Kazungula on 6th February 2017 on a two day working visit.
President Lungu and his counterpart the President of the Republic of Botswana His Excellency Dr. Seretse Ian Khama are expected to inspect progress on the construction of Kazungula Bridge.
The two Heads of State will also hold bilateral talks.
Kazungula Bridge when completed will boost the movement of goods and people between Zambia and Botswana.
Zambia and Botswana have enjoyed strong bilateral ties for decades and the Kazungula bridge will deepen the relationship between the two countries.
President Khama is one the Heads of State who attended the inauguralation of President Lungu.
President Lungu is expected back in the country on 7th February 2017.
