Lungu fires State House PS, Chilubanama

President Edgar Lungu has with immediate effect terminated the contract of State House Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Chilubanama.

In his letter addressed to Mr Chilubanama dated 29th August,2016, President Lungu informed the Permanent Secretary that his services had been terminated with immediate effect.

The letter which has been signed by the Head of State has also been copied to Secretary to the Cabinet, Secretary to the Treasury and Auditor-General.

President Lungu has since wished Mr Chilubanama the best in his future endeavours.

 

 

Meanwhile congratulatory messages have continued to pour into State house following the re-election of President Lungu.

Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe has joined other leaders in congratulating President Lungu.

In his congratulatory message dated 19thAugust,2016, President Mugabe expressed heartfelt congratulations to President Lungu and commended the Zambian people for making their democratic choice in a peaceful manner.

He says the mandate that the Zambian people have given President Lungu reconfirms the high level of trust and confident they have in his leadership.

President Mugabe has since wished president Lungu personal goof health and success as he discharges the onerous duties of the high office.

And Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has congratulated President Lungu and expressed best wishes for Zambia’s continued stability,progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile President Lungu is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives in the earthquake which struck central Italy on 24th August, 2016.

In a message of condolences to Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, President Lungu says the Zambian people commiserate with the Italian people as they mourn their beloved ones.

The President prayed that the Almighty God may grant comfort and solace to the bereaved families during this trying period.
