ZAMBIA PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RESULTS UPDATE (22 out of the 156 constituencies)

Voting in sparsely populated Zambezi-West parliamentary by-election started on schedule at 06:00 hours and at Mapashi polling station 45 people had cast their votes by 06:39 hours.

Edgar Lungu takes lead in 22 out of the 156 constituencies

President Edgar Lungu is leading the presidential race from results from 22 constituencies of the 156 constituencies declared so far by the Electoral Commission of Zambia.
Announcing the latest results from 14 constituencies this morning, ECZ Chairperson Esau Chulu says President Lungu is leading with 207,547 votes, followed by UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema with 153,630 votes, FDD’s Edith Nawakwi has 2,519 votes,PAC’s Andyford Banda has 1,303 votes and UNIP’s Tilyenji Kaunda has 1,104 votes.

Others are Rainbow party’s Wynter Kabimba with 901 votes, UPP’s Savior Chishimba with 747 votes, Green party’s Peter Sinkamba has 521 votes with DA’s Maxwell Mwamba amassing 225 votes.
The 14 latest constituencies whose results have been declared are isoka,Chitambo,Kasempa,Chembe,Wusakile,Kafulafuta,Magoye,Pambashe and Chimwemwe.

Others are Kankoyo,Kanfinsa,Nkana,Kwacha and Mwense.
And emotions run high in the elections results centre with UPND lawyer Martha Mushipe demanding the immediate removal of three named ECZ officials from the ongoing elections process whom she accused of working with the ruling PF to manipulate the outcome of the elections.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia has announced results in its first briefing on results of the August 11th 2016 General Elections and Referendum.
ECZ Chairperson Justice Esau Chulu announced results for three (3) of the 156 Constituencies in Zambia by 21.00hrs.

PF hv taken all of Muchinga’s 10 seats,Luapula UPND hv 1 while PF hv the rest,Lusaka PF 8,UPND 5 from 14 seats,Ndola almost all seats its PF and the copper belt too.So Southern ,Western n North western which are for HH will b swallowed by Eastern, Northern n Muchinga provinces. Central province its 50% each.
