The opposition UPND has accused the ruling Patriotic Front of defying the ban on campaigns in Lusaka and Namwala districts imposed by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ).
UPND spokesperson Charles Kakoma says his party has taken note that the PF is still allegedly distributing campaign material in the two Districts.
Mr. Kakoma has told Qfm News by telephone the UPND therefore finds the ban on the campaigns to be favoring the ruling party as opposed to serving the greater good.
But PF Deputy Spokesperson Frank Bwalya has told QTV in a separate interview that his party has complied with the ban.
Mr. Bwalya says all PF members in the two districts will abide by the ban as the PF is a law abiding political party.
