UPND Vice President for Administration and presidential running mate Geoffrey Mwamba has vowed to continue campaigning in Luapula province despite the cancellation of his campaign helicopter’s flying permit by the Zambia Air Force in view of President Edgar Lungu’s visit to the province.
Mr Mwamba who is Mansa says he will not leave the province, stating that if it means walking to campaign he will do just that.
He says the cancellation of his campaign helicopter’s flying permit is a blessing in disguise as it will enable him to meet a lot of people and hear their concerns, which he could not do using a chopper.
Mr Mwamba however, states that presidential powers should not be abused in this manner.
He says there is need for politicians to realise that power has got a lifespan.
