A TOTAL of 749 parliamentary candidates successfully filed their nominations in 156 constituencies to contest the August 11 general elections with Livingstone having the highest number at 10.
The constituencies with the second highest number of candidates are Kasenengwa, Mandevu and Munali, which have eight candidates each.
According to the notice of validly nominated candidates for the National Assembly elections, no candidate has gone through unopposed.
The constituencies with the lowest number of candidates are Kabwe Central, Mkushi South, Lufubu, Masaiti and Kankoyo, which have two contestants each.
Others are Bahati, Lunte, Chirundu, Mwinilunga, Magoye, Bwengwa, Siavonga, Nalikwanda, Shangombo and Mbabala constituencies.
