I turned down PF job for HH’s sake – Banda

UPND vice president for politics Canisius Banda has maintained that he will not leave the party in spite of him not being picked as the party’s presidential running mate.
Dr. Banda says the value he posses to the UPND and the rest of the Country is still relevant.

He believes that there is however a reason why he was not picked as party president Hakainde Hichilema’s running mate.
In an interview with QTV news Dr. Banda says he thinks that there is value in the decision that Mr. Hichilema made to settle for his administration counterpart Geoffrey Mwamba.

Dr. Banda notes that much as this decision might not be disenable by the people now he believes that in the passage of time it will be.
Asked whether he regrets having 4 years ago turned down an offer to be a minister in the PF government, Dr. Banda has maintained that he does not regret.
He says he sacrificed himself for the sake of Mr. Hichilema and the UPND as he desired to help them form government.
Dr. Banda states that this is why he does not regret that it appears now that he has been slapped in the face by Mr. Hichilema.
He thinks that each event that take place in one’s life has value and happens for a reason.
